New on Netflix in July

A trip down memory lane for a Detroit cop and a claw-some new series… there’s something for everyone on Netflix this month

By Charlotte Briggs, Staff Writer

Guess who’s back, back again? No, we’re not talking about old school rapper Eminem topping the charts again. We’re talking about another nostalgia-filled comeback: the highly anticipated return of the street-smart and wisecracking detective Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

Elsewhere, it’s raining cats (literally) and dogs as popular card game Exploding Kittens gets an animated makeover into a devilish adult comedy.

Plus, get ready for the Olympic Games this month with two new sporting docuseries that centre on some of the world’s most impressive athletes, including gymnastic superstar Simone Biles and world-renowned sprinters Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson.
